A New Perspective on Disability

John LordOn May 4, more than 20 attendees gathered at the RCD to join John Lord's new book launch. The event highlighted the Independent Living (IL) as a “social movement” and inspired us with stories of individual empowerment and community change that have resulted from this movement.

We also learned about the leaders and the actions changing the landscape of Canada.

John Lord’s talk was based on his newest book on the history and impact of the IL movement.
